Wednesday, August 13th, 2014 – St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada was a pretty port but the weather was awful! It vacillated between drizzle and light rain with a heavy fog almost the entire time we were in port.

When we got off the ship two Mounted Police were on their horses at the gate so we could all have our pictures taken with them. The horses were HUGE! The biggest horses I've ever seen!

I was standing in front of the two horses while the ship's photographer took my picture; at the same time Bill was snapping pictures of me with the horses. I had a lanyard around my neck with my ship's key card on it along with a tiny, red 64 gig flash drive with our cruise pictures on it. I always keep the flash drive with me in case something happens to my computer.

One of the horses put his head over my shoulder which I thought was really sweet until he started licking and nibbling on the breast of my hoodie. It was really strange and I couldn't get the horse to stop chewing on my hoodie/jacket over my right breast!

Bill didn't know what was going on, he just kept taking pictures while he was wondering what I was doing! The pictures didn't turn out that well but you could definitely see the horse was trying to nibble on me!

For the first part of the day I had wet horse drool and saliva on the front of my hoodie and for the rest of the afternoon I had dried horse saliva on my hoodie. At least it did finally dry to be not too-badly-noticeable. (I had the hoodie cleaned the minute we got back on the ship.)
