We found parking somewhat close to Cheers, the bar that was the inspiration for the Cheers tv show. (At that time the bar was called Bull & Fitch.) The front of the building, the three steps inside, the stained glass window by the door and the wooden Indian were the same ones seen in the opening of every episode of Cheers as well as the scenes when the program returned after commercial breaks. However the inside shots of Cheers where the actors sat around the bar were not filmed here – they were filmed in a Hollywood studio.

The bar in the real Cheers is straight across the back wall. That wouldn't work for the TV show because it was filmed in front of a live studio audience and the bar had to be designed so the actors wouldn't have their backs to the audience, but other than that the inside was reproduced almost exactly on the stage.
