This birthday card was inspired by the sketch in this month's Inspirational Card Challenge. I have to admit that when I first saw the sketch I really wasn't sure what I would create with it. I've been really trying to push my creativity and be slightly less literal with the sketches. I needed a birthday card and so I came up with the idea to use the strips at the back as candles. I used a leaf die to cut the flames. The plaid paper and all the colored cardstock (except for the orange) are from Doodlebug Design. The gold glitter cardstock is from Kaisercraft (I love that it doesn't lose any glitter when you work with it :). The sentiment stamp is from YNS.
