Holy smokes, you got to see some of the most famous historical figures gravesites. It must have been an incredible feeling to be there and see it. Gosh...Paul Revere!!! Gorgeous photography. The panoramic photos was a great idea. We really get to see the whole area and the grandeur of it. Terrific layout!!!
Bill already showed me the King's Chapel Burying Ground, the oldest cemetery in Boston this morning. Now I was ready to see the Granary Burial Grounds. Bill dropped me off while he circled the block looking for a parking place and I set off on a mission. First I found Samuel Adam's gravesite, and then Benjamin Franklin's parent's gravesite (the grandest and tallest in the cemetery). Benjamin Franklin is actually buried in Philadelphia.
Then I was excited to see the gravesite for Paul Revere and then on to John Hancock's.
What a feeling to be taken back in history like that! As I walked among their graves I reflected on what a contribution they all made to the founding of our country and establishing our constitution and ensuring the freedoms that we enjoy today. These are some of the men who made America the great nation that it is today.
