In 1804 this bell was cast at the foundry of Paul Revere and Son for the East Parish Church in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Revere cast his first bell in 1792 for his own church, and cast his last bell in 1811 when he ended an active partnership in his family firm.

Today went by way too quickly! But we were looking forward to this evening!

We met a couple on the cruise around Norway. John Graham and Joanne Gabrynowicz were on the Prinsendam with us. She was the guest lecturer and her subject was space law. She is a professor of international law and her special area of expertise involves the laws that apply in space and the way those laws apply not only to the United States, but to other countries involved in the space program. She is a consultant to NASA and NATO as well as a member of the committee that wrote the International Space Treaty. Since our cruise went into the North Pole, she talked to the passengers about laws pertaining to ownership of the North Pole and the ocean as well as the moon and other parts of space.

John is a retired B-52 pilot and met Joanne when he took her class in space law. They are an amazing couple and a lot of fun to be with! We really enjoyed getting to know them on the cruise and hope our friendship will continue for a long time.

They live in Mississippi but through an email exchange, they told us they would be arriving in Boston this afternoon. We are going to pick them up at the airport, take them to their hotel, and then we are all having dinner together tonight.

When we looked at the clock we realized they would be landing at the airport in 10 minutes and it was a 15 minute drive so we got there almost the same time as they landed and waited about 10 more minutes for them to meet us in front of the terminal.
