We are not the typical "athletic" family. There will be no soccer, football or basketball seasons for us. Martial arts has been a part of my son's life for the past 2.5 years. This is the first time I've scrapped about his sport. In this photo, he just earned his 3rd degree brown belt. Two more levels of brown and he will be a black belt. My heart swells with pride for my little man. Others mistakenly think that martial arts is a "violent" sport. Not really (one can't always believe in the movies). My son will not be getting numerous concussions from this sport. It is more about control, discipline and above all self-defense. Even for the most timid and kind-hearted of young men and women. I'm just so proud of him.
Except for the white background, this is 100% made with scraps from Bella Blvd. I chose these specific colors to symbolize the various belt ranks a person must go thru.
