My great-grandparents' marriage license on the left and my great-grandmother's diary of their travel from Australia to Illinois. For the background on the left, I combined gesso, black paint, and black embossing powder for one layer, distress collage medium for another; on the right I used two distress inks--broken china and scattered straw.
