Oh my...the way you did the masking of the dinosaurs in watercolor is amazing. How cool you used the flattened penny as an accent. It makes your layout so special.
There is a place just outside of Denver where you can see fossilized footprints of dinosaurs!!! Yep it was pretty amazing to see and stand next to where actual dinosaurs stepped. I suppose it gives them a sense of movement, which makes them feel like living things...lets just say its a different experience than staring at bones. It was fun and as you can see I swiped a lot of swag from the gift shop.
I wanted to try this watercolor technique for this LO. I used little wood dinos I found at the dollar store and painted around each one individually. It was more labor intensive than I wanted, but it really conveys the spirit of the foot prints (I think). I originally forgot to add the pressed penny, patch, and brochure. But after the whole LO was done I felt like something was missing. Then I remembered all the STUFF. The placement still turned out pretty good considering it was all added later. And since I used foam dots to make the picture pop I had the perfect little pocket for the brochure. Love it when things just fall into place.
