Give a Cheer
I made these two altered journals and matching bookmarks from fun foam, card stock, and plain Dollar Tree composition books. The images are really easy to replicate so I just hand drew with a Sharpie marker and fussy cut out the various pieces to hot glue together. To add a little whimsy to the Minion ones, I used googly eyes and real buttons.
They have been sent as Christmas gifts to Camp Kangaroo, which is a day camp to help children dealing with the loss of loved ones. The camp helps them with grief counseling, art therapy, and cathartic journaling (that's where these journals will come in).
I thought the children dealing with such sadness could use some bright, cheerful journals so I created these in the theme of Angry Birds and Minions. I hope they will be helpful to the children who receive them. I love crafting to support good causes like this. :)
