I love Hawaii too! We didn't spend much time in Hilo when we were on the Big Island. We stayed in Kona and took some tours over that way. What I would like to do if we ever go back is to go on the boat out of Hilo that takes you to the lava coming into the ocean.

Super creative way you highlighted the airport and the condo on the map. The boarding passes was a great idea. I heard that boarding passes are going to be a thing of the pass. We will have to use our phones in the future. So you will have an antique item on your page for future generations!

Page 927 - Volume Challenge

We arrived on the Big Island around
6:30 this evening and Bill left me on the bench in front of the Hilo airport while he went out to get a rental car for us. I was thrilled when he pulled up at the curb in another Mustang convertible. This one was black also – I just love having a convertible in Hawaii!

We went to the Coconut Grill for dinner (we've enjoyed it in the past) but we were disappointed in our meal. Rarely have we sent a meal back but the coconut shrimp were not enjoyable. They actually tasted a little “funny” to me although I'm sure they were fine – they just didn't taste right. However, we had popcorn shrimp with pineapple dip for an appetizer and that was quite tasty! We decided not to order anything else and just made a meal of the popcorn shrimp appetizer.
