Give a Cheer
For December 2016's Music Inspiration Challenge, I was given the song "Hey Brother" by Avicii. Originally, I thought about making a page about me and my own brother but after I heard the lyrics, I automatically thought of all the Men and Women I've met at the VA over the last 14 years. They're some of the most amazing, strong, caring, and down to earth people I've ever met. I was "adopted" into a group of people at the Wellness Clinic (workout center) and they've become my second family. I absolutely love them. I know that there are some horrific stories coming out of the VA hospitals and I know West Haven isn't perfect, but I've gotten to know the staff and patients and I have so much respect for them.
