Love where the inspiration took you with this! Your colors really made the photo the focal point. Very creative using the title in place of the spiral. Wonderfully done!
This is really great. I love how you incorporated the blue of the shirt in the layout to make it all come together. Also, your description of your process is great. I loved reading about how what you tried to use from the original and your design decisions. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and decisions as you developed this.
This works so well. I wouldn't think of adding pearls or flowers to a Halloween layout but your ability to think outside the box made this layout fantastic. Very lovely and so creative!
I think this came out wonderful; I really like it! And I definitely see the inspiration from the original in your layout! I really like the idea of adhering the photo to the PP in order to cut it into a circle...I'm going to have to "borrow" that idea!
My lo turned out nothing like I had imagined. LOL I love the swirling hearts in the original and thought I'd do something similar on mine....I did not.
I did start off with the circle like the original. However, I couldn't crop my pic into a circle, because the entire rectangle of photo was important....dd, pooh, pumpkins. So, I adhered the photo to a piece of pp and then was able to cut out a circle, with the pp filling in the upper and lower parts of the circle.
Although, I loved the punched border of the background on the original, I preferred the straight edges on my background pp, so I left it that way and matted it onto the cs. I did take the punched idea, though, and matted my photo circle onto more of the orange cs and then used my decorative scissors to give a similar feel of the punched border. I outlined the top/bottom of the picture with some twine. I used the wrap-around idea of the hearts from the original as a way to do the title around the photo. I outlined the alpha stickers with an orange souffle pen. I was inspired by the repeating pattern of the hearts in the original, so I added the chipboard piece with the row of pumpkins. I added some sticker leaves between the pumpkins and the picture to tie the two together a little better.
I felt I needed to incorporate dd's shirt color into the lo, so I added the chipboard piece at the top, bordered the pennants, used alpha stickers in that color to add names, and added some flowers in that color. The chipboard piece at the top seemed a bit small for the page, so I added the pearls to make it seem a bit bigger. I, also, added some teeny brads to the piece to help adhere it to the page a little better.
