Love this - the texture is amazing and I too love the muted tones of iced spruce. I remember the day I tried coloring seam binding with inks, and you reminded me of the sheer joy I had when it had dried, and I undid the scrunched up seam binding and I was thinking to myself "oh....this is good...this is very very good..."
This is one of the most elegant cards I have ever seen. The flower with the jeweled center is breath-taking. the person who receives this card is so fortunate.
This is so elegant. I always love your flowers and I love the waxed paper piece you added beneath it. Your flourishes are beautiful. I love the shape of them and love your color choices. That embossed background is pretty. I've never thought to emboss glitter paper, but I learn something new from you every day!
It felt so good to be able to go out to my Craft Palace today and do a little crafting. I had to repair a necklace for my son's friend and made two cards as well as finally tried out a new technique for me...coloring and scrunching up seam binding for bows. I'm anxious to see how it turns out. I did three different colors.
Anyway, on to this card. I got a new 6x6 paper stack from DCWV called The Glitzy Pastels Stack. I ran the background paper through a Darice Damask embossing folder using my Big Shot. It doesn't show up too good in this picture. Then I decided to use one of the waxed tissue papers that I had die cut by putting it under my handmade flower. That die cut was from Kelly. Thank you! I inked up the edges a little with TH Iced Spruce. Under that is a Doodlebug Designs doily. Added some lace and a pretty vine die cut from my son Sam for Christmas!
