These are some pages I have done of my Godson. It will be a year ago in a few months, that he passed away. He was 12 1/2 years old. Thanks to social media, we were all able to "be there" the last couple days with his family through his journey. My Godson was hydrocephalic and wasn't expected to live. He proved us all wrong! His mother is the most amazing woman I know! She has an unwavering faith. He was able to give life to 5 other people through organ donation.

Journaling:
As Mary stood with her son when he gave his life for us, I will stand with my son over the next 48hrs and prepare him to also give a gift of himself.

This boy, baptized in Christ, receiver of the Eucharist, not a sinning bone in his little broken body will hopefully begin his journey to provide the gift of life.

His medical chart has been reviewed. No red flags in that. 2nd test for brain death is consistent with yesterday. So we are able to move forward with hopefully donation. after some time today we will begin. There will be many tests and like all times before we will pray for results that will save a child. But this time not our child, instead somewhere a child equally loved by another family. Nick is blessed to be in a position to give many gifts if he can donate.

I am honored to be his mama & support his body in this last bit of his earthly journey. I am thankful that all the pain that's left to bear is ours. No longer does he feel any as he is welcomed into paradise.

Forget Alaska. Heaven has to be the ultimate wish!

Please pray for strength for our children, family, and friends. Pray also for those families waiting for healthy organs. That their children hang on just a little longer.

Again I say:

This beautiful boy has been our miracle for 12 amazing years. Now it's time to share him and although it's killing me emotionally he's ready to be a miracle to others.

He is my hero.
