Have you read The Very Hungry Caterpillar? I must have read it over a hundred times to my children when they were growing up! Just thinking about that little caterpillar brings back such fond memories of snuggling up to read the book and chubby little fingers poking through the holes. "On Monday he ate through one apple. But he was still hungry." Inspired by the book I grabbed my watercolours and tried a freehand sketch. It's far from perfect and when I try this whimsical style I appreciate how hard it can be to make it look right. But I had great fun making the card and so I'm sharing it regardless :D
