I received a pack of watercolor doodles (white cards with a black outline of images drawn by Suzy Plantamura) just before Christmas and I've been itching to try them. The thing is, I don't own any watercolors or even a good brush and I have never really worked with watercolors before. I've seen Jennifer McGuire use her clear Wink of Stella Brush pen and her Tombow markers to watercolor stamped images. Although I don't own any fancy markers, I do have a few sets of Crayola markers so I decided to give them a try. This is my first attempt at using this watercolor technique. I hope to get better with practice, especially with the shading, but it was lots of fun to try something new. Since the Wink of Stella is very shimmery, when you use it to watercolor, your image has a beautiful shimmery finish.
