Like the closeup photo of your gown and cords. Like too the pp you used on the photo mat. And those letters turned out amazing. I get frustrated when I work on a technique (like on your lettering) and it takes me so long to get it "right". I forget that others out there are doing the same thing too. Nice to hear that sometimes. Thanks.
Sounds like you had quite a brain storm with this layout...lol Youre good at it!! I like how you used the cereal liner and the back of a paper pad :o)Ro
Congratulations on your academic achievements and impending graduation! Great use of what you have on hand!! Great inspiration of use my deep cut blade!! Thanks for the tips too!!
This came together really quickly. I matched the background page to the photo based on the blue and the streamer-ish look of the beaded strands. I matted the photo on some papers I've been hoarding. For a bit of added... flavor?... I threw in a bit of cereal bag liner that I cut up (I saved the box, too, for chipboard).
It took several tries to get the title letters right. The first set of chipboard that I used was too thick even for my deep cut blade. So, I grabbed the backing chipboard I'd saved from a pad of paper I bought months ago, and used that instead. With it all cut out, I added clear gesso, inked the letters a bit, and added clear embossing powder. They're glued down to glitter paper with Tombow Mono Multi glue.
While the Cricut was running, I pulled out the Prizm and diecut some arrows from the Ornate Arrows pack. When I had everything secured, I added some bling I bought at Dollar Tree, and some journaling and scribbly outlining with a white Gelly Roll pen.
About the picture: I've made a promise to myself that I will scrapbook at least one event per month for 2017. I was at a loss for what to scrapbook for March, because there's just not a lot going on this month.
When I got home yesterday, I found my Beta Gamma Sigma (it's like Phi Beta Kappa for business students) honor cords in the mailbox. I was pleased, but not inspired, until I realized the box containing my cap and gown were on the doorstep. Then, I knew what I would scrap for March.
