These photos were about four years in the making. When we were home with my parents in Seattle for Christmas for DS' first time, we got the silly idea to pose him with all Nana's holiday critters that she's collected since my sister and I were kids. (He was about the same size as most of them, which was part of the humor here...)
For some reason or another, I never scrapped that photo and I'm glad I didn't because three years later, we did the same thing with my DD! She was only about 2.5-3 weeks younger than my son at that time, but he was much more comfortable sitting up thans he was so we had to literally prop her up with the toys. On the other hand, DS was more than willing to sit and smile... DD wanted to rearrange the critters! I have a great shot of her man-handling and slapping Kermie... LOL! Anyway, her eyes are closed, but that face was worth it and having the two pictures side by side is a fun comparison. I'd like to think that was on purpose, but since she was the 'Holy smokes, how'd that happen?' baby, I can't take that kinda credit... hehehe

Anywho, this is for my Scraplift the Person Before you challenge and is a lift of NMScrapper (Carol's) cute page 'Wet' seen here: https://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/475533/view/5661929/-1/72/0.html.
Also for my Hoarders Challenge as I don't think anything here is new, except that Bo Bunny stamp set which I just got. I even finished off that Jolee's gifts sticker pack!
This is also for my NSD Crafting Challenge entry. I'm mostly a traditional scrapper (12x12 junkie right here! Cards and minis scare me usually!) And of course, the reason I scrap is because of these two kiddos right here. I'm trying to leave a legacy to them, though it'll probably be more like organized chaos by the time I slid, winded and drained into the grave. But darn it, they will remember their momma!
In fact, my DS (that cute little pumpkin head right there... yeah he's 5 now) was 'helping' me with this page today. He helped punch the edges and then decorate the tree and when he wasn't physically helping, he was questioning me about EVERY. SINGLE. THING I used... LOL! I ended up giving him a couple punches, some computer paper (and he hijacked my trimmer) and he sat at the kitchen table doing his own 'artwork', which consisted mostly of punching and then slicing papers into shreds and scattering the punched negatives all over the floor.... Well anyway, it was fun having him with me and I'll always think of this page and that moment. Can't believe how big he is from that photo! (DD is nearly two and was napping or I'd never have been able to do this page as she loves looking at the pictures!)
So that's why I craft the way I do.
TFL!
