Latin cultures celebrates the transition from girl to woman at the age of 15. Many of these ceremonies are larger than weddings bringing family and friends from all corners of the world. Graphic 45's Time to Celebrate is the perfect paper collection and matching Hampton Arts stamp sets are wonderful compliments to any project. I used Ranger Potting Soil and Tim Holtz Peeled Paint. The TCW stenciled tree represents family and the butterflies represent the transition. A traditional "capia" is handmade by the family using printed ribbon with name and date and pinned to the dress of doll with matching gown. The celebrant goes to each guest and pins a capia on them and thanks them for coming.
I used gesso on the Finnaibar doily stencil and then added Bo Bunny Orange Citrus Glitter Paste and their Wasabi on the wood flourish. I had so much fun using 8 different Glimmer mists on the wood butterfly. I fussy cut the frame from the "title" page in the pack and made journaling tag from another. I used my Sizzix Big Shot plus for the Spellbinder die cut frame and my Cricut Explore Air to cut the title. Luv the Prima flowers and made a bouquet with the wonderful collection of American Crafts organza ribbons. Also used their Engravers butterflies and inked the white one with Colorbox Copper and Brilliance Cosmic Copper.
