This is completely mesmerizing and totally AMAZING! I can't stop admiring all the fabulous details! Oh to be a fly on the wall as you create these gorgeous works of art. The heart is my favorite part too but every detail is impressive. I love how you used pieces of jewelry to embellish the mannequins. Your works have us all in awe!
Holy cow!! What an amazing work of art!!! Love how you repurposed the jeans zipper (kinda like my latest layout)! I have parts from an old cell phone I still need to put to use! Boy, you did a fabulous job on this!!
A GORGEOUS piece of ART my friend! Love every tiny detail and have looked at it over and over and finding more! I learn so much from these PL's but Mixed media is a new playing field for me but you have inspired me way beyond my own imagination, pushing me to try more! Just like I would have never made a card unless ML had not give me a nudge or my DD who talked me into ATC's! So many talented people here and I'm so Blessed to call them friends! I LOVE my PL sooooooo much my friend and I see the timeless hours you have put into this just for me, for that I thank you!!!!!!!!!
Okay girl you have just blown PL's out of the water! This is so amazing, wonderful, creative, beautiful, & MORE! Knowing Laura she melted in a puddle on the floor when she got it!! I would have been thrilled with just the heart, wowzer! Love how you did the chain & really every inch of this beauty. I have to quit because I have run out of adjectives.......!:)
I made this PL for my amazingly talented and awesome friend Laura, whom I became friends with here at Scrapbook.com. Created in friendship, this metal themed PL required lots of dry time. My favorite piece is the heart; I used glass and regular glitter for the background, alcohol ink, micro beads and metal (lots of metal). The zipper around the center heart and on the dragon fly is from an old pair jeans. All the wings on the die cut mannequins are jewelry that's been altered. Behind the mannequins I added stitched fabric. The background papers are BFS Chesterville and the heat embossed chipboard is BFS too. The ribbon on the side is hand dyed repurposed Sari silk ribbon. All the metal numbers are painted with acrylic paints. One product that I've been playing with lately that I love is the gilding; I used it on the mannequins and on top of the background stenciling. The little bits of computer parts are from an old laptop that I took apart. I really loved creating this pocket letter for Laura. If you've never tried pocket letters before you should; they are addicting and fun.
