Flourishing Blooms

My first attempt at a mixed media project. I used gesso to cover an old canvas, then added bits of an old lacey cardigan, mulberry paper pieces left over from die cutting flowers together with some recycled string. Modeling paste and a bubble stencil were used to add a bit more texture. I then used chalks to add colour. I wanted to keep the colours quite pale as the canvas was to go in a bedroom.
