This is another graduation I needed to make this year. I was inspired by a couple of images I found of this design on Pintrest. The first inspired me to use it as a graduation card. The link to original can be found here: https://thecraftspa.blogspot.com/2016/06/class-of-2016graduation-large-square.html
The second gave me clearer instructions for the folds and instructions for the layered base section in the middle of the extra z fold. http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/zboxpopupcard/?utm_medium=Email&utm_source=ExactTarget&utm_campaign=

I have chosen to enter this card in the NSD 2017 Use Your Stamps Challenge. I used stamped the "CLASS" part of the sentiment using an Alphabet set (Technique Tuesday"s Cosmopolitan Capital Letters set) and colored them by applying first the lighter and then the darker of the two blue ink pads directly to the stamps. I cleaned them and then reapplied Versamark and heat embossed them as well. Then I hand cut them and applied them to the white backing paper. So, I used the B stamp image (alphabet stamp set), the A Technique (heat embossing) and the C Technique (multiple colors applied to a stamp). I did also stamp and heat emboss the Congratulations sentiment (from CTMH's For Every Occasion) as well.

I also entered this card in the NSD Hoarders Special! I used the blue textured shimmery paper that has been in my stash for untold years, and the black and silver sparkling dot paper that I really have trouble using because it is so pretty. I've had that for several years now also. As for the TWIST - my passion is creating paper crafts (cards and LO's and albums for others). With this card, I didn't answer the question overtly, but this creation is a demonstration of that for me in that I made it specifically for an event in hope of giving the recipient just a bit more of the personal touch at her special event.

The dies used are the old Sizzix Serif Numerals set for the big date, a Lifestyles Wildflower Kit for the "of" and Tonic Studios stars.
