Card made with a watercolor background. Used several dies. I'm having a lot of fun with the dies. There's such a wide assortment to choose from. They add such wonderful texture and character to projects. Don't know why I waited so long to experiment with them. Okay. That's not quite true. I'll admit. It was because I was intimidated by the die-cutting process. It "looked" complicated. But once I pushed myself out of my comfort zone to venture into this area, I found that it actually wasn't. It was just a preconception on my part that had kept me from giving it a try. And once I worked with my first two sets that one of my DDs gifted me, that's all it took. I cannot tell you how many times I have seen others' work in the gallery here and 'oohed' and 'ahhed' over their beautiful creations that involved die-cutting, wishing I could do something even half as beautiful as theirs. Fear held me back (you know, those "what-ifs"). Never let fear hold you back. You never know what you can achieve with fear leading. Just go for it! You will be pleasantly surprised at what you can achieve once you let go of your fears and take a step of courage.

I look forward to the time when I get better at my watercoloring. Is anyone else dabbling into watercoloring? I love them and am having fun experimenting with different custom colors and different techniques. I don't expect to become a pro. But as long as I'm enjoying creating things with them, that's good enough for me. I have accepted that painting is not of my gifts. My grandfather was a wonderful painter. He was the first one who sat down with me and patiently taught me how to draw a face when I was eight. Back then I wasn't really into the art and the learning process. Today I would love to be able to sit with him and ask some questions and watch him with his brushes in hand, dabbing them into the array of colors on his messy wooden palette, touching them to the canvas and working his magic and beauty! And an old saying comes to me: "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again." Remember, you'll never know, if you never try. You can do it!

Thank you for taking the time to peek and/or your kind, lovely feedback. It is appreciated! Happy crafting! :)
