This is one of my five grand kitties. My daughters don't have children, they have cats, so I have to make do where I can...

Meet Storm, one of my younger daughter's two cats, who is living with me for the summer. Amy is off doing ropes course directing work for the Tulsa YMCA, so the cats are living with me.

Storm got her name from her history. When she was a small kitten, she was found in a rain gutter in the street which was full of water after a huge thunderstorm rolled through. It's amazing that she hadn't drowned, but she's a tough one. My daughter rescued her, and Storm has not forgotten that she owes her life to people. She's the sweetest and most social cat I've ever been around.

She lives the life of a princess, and she's pretty excited to be living in my scrap room this summer. So many things to see and play with and knock off of the shelves...

The other cat - he's very shy and is still hiding under the chest of drawers hoping I'll just go away... I've seen him, and I make an effort to put my eyeballs on him every day, just to make sure he's still breathing. But he's not happy about having his life disrupted, and he is NOT at all sure that he likes grandma's house AT all. He'll come around eventually, but it's kind of interesting seeing how different the two of them are.
