Hear, * hear * chickie - I love all the paper you . And the "Vintage" picture <<<<<<<<<< It is a beauty.I am GLAD to be your friend. I enjoy your work. This one is a High- 5... Into my faves.
I am so in awe of this amazing photo and the detail in it! You scrapped it BEAUTIFULLY!!!!! (And I love that you are addicted to rooster paper for these pages, too!)
Fantastic heritage layouts (this one and its companion)! You are so lucky to have so many wonderful old family pictures! This one is especially good and shows so much about the place and time. I love the guy holding his banjo - must have been his pride and joy. Don't you wish you had those quilts today??! I wonder why there are sheets in the trees?
This has to be one of my favorite of all of the photos that you've shared with us - just look at all of the details!!!
Your rooster paper is perfect and I love your torn and rolled layers!!!
Look at those quilts. Amazing. Are those shirts hanging on trees to dry? Amazing photo and beautifully scrapped. It makes you wonder how so many people lived in that little house. Love, love, love this. Pinned!
ok - I had to comment again! ha! Those animals!! Especially the coon hound : ). I'm a Southern girl so take my comments into consideration! WOW! I'm just so amazed with this photo! And the mother looks pregnant? Those huge stirrups on the horses saddle. So many awesome details. This is so amazing to me!
O-M-G! This photo leaves me breathless!!! Yes - the quilts are beautiful!! Imagine them in color! The guy with the banjo - cool! Those rifles with the muzzles a mile long - WOW! Now - are those 'ghosts' in the trees? Meaning, sheets made to look like ghosts? One of them to me actually looks like a skeleton head!
Ok I admit I'm addicted to rooster paper for these layouts. This photo is from 1898 and features on the far left my 2xGGU. His wife is standing in the middle with her apron on. I just love the fact that one son is holding a gun and the quilts on the porch.
The back features a photo taken the same day from how they are dressed with William, Mary Ann and the two youngest children. They had 12 children. William fought in the Civil War and died in 1900 at 64 years while plowing a field.
