Wonderfully done! Our cats are 100% outside barn cats and they love bird watching and stalking. They are both friendly, one more than the other, and enjoy antagonizing each other.
Omg what a great storyteller you are, I love this layout. Those cats definitely have personality. I think your stitching is perfect..wow.. I understand what you mean about having your own stash of stuff... me too.
Beautifully done Pat! I love the papers and your fabulous stitching! It was well worth the time it took for you to do! Thanks for playing in the June Sewing Challenge!
I'm babysitting two of my five grand kitties for the summer while their mom is at summer camp directing a ropes course program for the Tulsa YMCA.
Storm, the female, is the social one. She got all up in my business from day one - checking out all the things in my entire scrap room, every nook, every corner, every shelf, and made herself at home from the get-go. Santana, the black long hair, is much more reclusive. It took him an entire week before he decided that grandma's house was safe and that he might be ok coming out to make friends. He's pretty chill now - just not the social butterfly that Storm is. Storm - her, I have to keep picking up off my desk and putting on the floor, and repeating every five minutes or so. She wants to be right in the middle of whatever action is going on.
They're apartment cats, which really means that their exposure to the world is limited to what they've been able to see from a second story window overlooking a balcony. The windows here at grandma's house are a lot bigger than they're used to, and the world is a whole lot closer than they're accustomed to seeing it. I'm not sure they've either one ever seen a bird as big as that crow out in the side yard.
Storm - given a chance - would be all over that. She's tense as a spring and just itching for him to get close enough that she can bust her head against the glass trying to get to him. Santana, he's just chilling and twitching his tail. I think he's smarter than she is because he knows there's just no way that he's going to ever eat crow.
Both cats are in the photo, but you have to work some to see her - just her left ear and her cheek are visible under the tower platform...

I'm going to turn this into a couple of challenges here. #1 ~ Doreena's JUNE NATIONAL ________ DAY for NATIONAL ADOPT A CAT MONTH
#2 ~ DreaSlee's Sewing Challenge. I did all that hand stitching around the edge of the white bird paper. All of it. By hand. Every stitch.
And of course - the Hoarders and Budget Challenge. My budget this month is ZERO, so I'm shopping for all my products in my stash store, which isn't QUITE as big as Hobby Lobby, but it's close. I think I have just about one of everything... Hence my need to play the Hoarder's Challenge and get things down to a manageable level.
