Every time I look at this picture of my great-niece and nephew I have to giggle. This picture was taken 3 or 4 years ago and I have yet to meet my little great-nephew. They live in Texas and this was on their Christmas card one year. I decided to make a layout as a surprise for my niece and her husband.

When I started on this I decided to use corrugated cardboard to match the corrugated metal in the background of the picture. I found this circle of cardboard I had in my stash for a long time and just ripped off the outer layer to get to the rippled part. The colors are a conglomeration of white chalk paint, acrylic paints, spray mists and dabber paint as well as chalk ink pads! When I put the heat to it to dry it some of the colors washed through the white paint. I thought it was fascinating. The question is...do you like it? Please be honest. It was totally out of my comfort zone.

The pretty flourish chippie at the top was painted with white chalk paint, dried and inked in with TH Iced Spruce, then heat embossed with Zing clear embossing powder. The lower flourishes I painted with Liquid Pearls, dried and then used the same product as the upper vine.

The doilies under the picture came from the Salvation Army store and inked them up with Fired Brick, Aged Mahogany and Faded Jeans.

The denim flowers were some I made a month or so ago out of Sam's old Dickey's jeans and used Royal Liquid Pearls around the outer edges. The red patterned flower was from my friend Mary (Abbygirl). Thank you Mary! Butterflies I got from Pinterest. The wooden fence was from Unique Laser Designs, a company I was a guest designer for a few years ago.
For the Wooden Embellishment challenge I used the fence, laser tag that I painted and embossed and the title piece in the little frame is wooden as well as "Priceless".

Thank you all so much for stopping by. I appreciate the feedback very much.
