really pretty! I love the colors you used and the yellow on the mix of blues really is stunning! I never made ATC's ever. Your inspiring me to give it a go and look into them. AWESOME!
OMG OMG OMG these are soooo gorgeous! Love the rich color and texturing and layering and oodles of ink and goodness! Stunning!
Bet those fingers are inky tho... ;)
I can totally relate to that last statement in your description. So many times what I envision is not what I end up with but it's part of what I enjoy about creating, the journey to and often the surprise of the final products. I love all the fabulous layers and those gorgeous colors on your ATCs. You rocked them!
WOW! the background on these ATC is just fabulous, love the bold brightness of the colors. and I really like how you added a real feather to the peacock, I love how these turned out
This is my last set of ATC's for Marci's July swap. Theme is "Travel."
I've had this balloon stamp forever - I got it with a SteamPunk set back in 2011 when Tim was doing the 12 tags of Christmas. I didn't know diddly-squat about stamps back then, so these are just the rubber ones, no foam back, no block, no nothing but rubber, but I've figured out how to make them work with my acrylic block and some Alene's Tack It Over And Over Again.
Basically, I layered the balloon by stamping it twice, coloring the bottom one with Rusty Hinge DI and the top one with Faded Jeans. Did a little fussy cutting on the blue one to show the rust one underneath, popped it up and then glued on the embroidery thread lines and little beads for the sand weights.
The compass came in the same set as the balloon, but I had to cut down a clock hand to get a piece small enough to work for the dial. The background was part of the same stamp set. I'm not sure where I got them, it's been so long ago...
* ~ * ETA ~ the stamp set came from a company called "Oxford Impressions." Here's a link to a site that sells the stamp set that I have. http://www.thatscrafty.co.uk/oxford-impressions-unmounted-stamps.html
