Ok. So I'm just now realizing that these are your FIRST sunflowers, and I gotta say, "girl ... you ROCKED them." They're fantastic. I hope that you continue to be inspired to create them. There is just something about a sunflower that makes life more sunny and cheerful! Gorgeous job on the lift as well. SO nice to see you back among the living. I hope to rejoin them myself soon!
This is just so gorgeous! I love the die for the flowers, I have her big shot die, so pretty! Great layers, the punch is fantastic :) What a pic :D precious!!!
That paper rocks! Love those punched edges. Such an adorable pic. This is a great lift. I am lifting Pat this month and that same lo caught my eye as well.
Well look at you! This is a fabulous lift of my little Bobby Dog project. I love that you went to a warm color palette and used sunflowers (which are also a favorite for me - especially with button centers!). The butterflies are fantastic - don't you just love Renae's stuff?
Annual Fall photo of my babies the first time we had two! This is at our favorite park, Mayor's Bicentennial in Glendale. It's so nature-y and beautiful, it's my go-to for any photo shoots. They were so good for most of the time there and this is probably the money shot as they're both looking at the camera, smiling (mostly) and DS isn't trying to squeeze his sister's head off! LOL!
One special photo deserves a special page. It took me all month to decide which photo to use for which lift I planned to do from Pat's gallery. I finally chose "Bobby Dog" seen here: https://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/298615/view/3589103/0/144/0.html turned on it's side. I've also been in love with the way she does her flowers, particularily sunflowers as they are my favorite. Here's my first try using a Sizzix die I've had for a couple years and never used (except I didn't do the center pieces... I went with buttons instead!
For Scraplift the Person Before You: GentlewoodFarms; July Music Inspiration - I had a really hard time with the song I got which was "You Oughtta Know" by Alanis Morresette. I'm not a big fan of her music and this one was kind of an angry song. I could either pull the line "You're still alive" and do a special page for DH or use the title for the kiddos. The kids won out based on the sunflowers... (Sorry honey!) So the song title is the first few words of the journaling. Also for Global Hug Your Kids Day (7/17) and my Hoarders challenges. I really debated using that Prima Vine... had planned it for a wine-tasting page, but it just looked so good here that I went for it. Still makes my skin itch to use it... LOL! Same for those beautiful butterflies made by Reneabouquets - check her out!
