This is my Paternal Grandmother as a young girl....probably when she came to America. c.1900



The roses are die cuts that I filled in and colored and added leaves to.....the crocheted lace is very old and one of my favorites. I embossed the pink heart and cut off the lacy part of the doily due to great damage...and never knew what I might use it for, but kept in in the drawer of "stuff" for years. It's perfect here......My grandmother was a beautiful little old lady and I see how beautiful she was as a young woman just leaving Germany to come for a better life in the USA it was approximately 1897-1900 I am not sure which.

I am making some heritage pages for my great granddauhters, Lilly and Mackenzies books...just so they have some idea of their history. I have made pages like this for each of my children in their family albums...but this is another generation.......!!!!
