I tried something I've never done before. I wanted to make a layout of a good friend's baby daughter as a gift. However, I wanted to also keep a copy for myself, so I simultaneously made two layouts using the same pictures. But I didn't want them to look exactly alike, so I moved pictures around, used different embellishments, slightly different colors, and one layout has journaling. This one was the gift to my friend.
