Wow! I love that the children in the photos are the main focus, and everything else on the page compliments them. Nicely done!
(I am so stealing this idea...)
This is so beautiful! I love how you painted the background and all the embellishments. They blend perfectly with the adorable pictures of the children. So creative and original!
I don't even know where to begin to tell you how amazingly beautiful I think this is. I kept reading and scrolling back up to take another look at what you were describing. This truly is precious as are the children!
This truly is Precious! I love your ornamental iron die cut as the base. So beautifully painted, crackled and inked. I love the sweet photos and the idea of punching the edge of some ugly paper to use the other side. Every inch of this is beautiful and perfect. Amazing flowers! Such a lovely page.
Wow. Wow. Wow. Words cannot describe how beautiful and ornate your work is here! I am absolutely bowled over by your creativity and the unique design on this page - bravo to you!
Hi everyone! Sharing another layout I made for another nephew and his wife in Texas. These cutie-pies are Heidi and Gavin. Again, I have yet to meet these two. I had such a hard time picking my favorite picture that I decided to use four of them. In the top middle picture they were standing in front of their house and I fussy cut them out. I remembered this chippie that I die cut from my Cricut several years ago and never used! I was so thrilled to finally get to use it. The cartridge is Ornamental Iron 2. I cut it from packaging for a calendar. I used Deco Art White Pearl Metallic acrylic paint and when it dried I used Folk Art Crackle Medium (which didn't turn out like I wanted) and then rubbed TH Bundled Sage and Vintage Photo over it.
The punched background paper was the backside of some ugly paper I had and once again I just rubbed TH distress inks all over to complement the background of Texas bluebonnets, greenery and Heidi's dress. Oh yes, before I forget, the clothes they are wearing were outfits I got them for Easter one year. Their sweet mama took pictures for me and posted them on FB so I could see them! The very bottom paper is DCWV's Primrose Stack.
For the Wooden Embellishment Challenge I used the three wooden butterflies that I colored up with Liquid Pearls.
For the Use Your Stamps Challenge - I stamped the little key and tiny butterflies. Inking the background paper also, if that counts! Also stamped the large die cut with Inkadinkado Modern Flower Flourish stamps in TH Mowed Lawn and Black Soot mixed together. Kind of hard to see it in the picture.
The frilly flourish diecuts are cut from scraps and paint sample cards. Three buttons in the floral cluster are from Mom's tin so my nephew will have something special from her also! The blue and purple silk flowers are from Hobby Lobby. The pearl and metal key is from Joann's.
Special thanks to: Donna (Bonprof) for the beautiful bird chippie from Blue Fern Studios. I colored it up with Liquid Pearls also. Marylou (Meggie's Nana) for the HOTP Sarabooks Sapphire paper collection that I diecut "Precious" out of. Mary (Abbygirl) for the beautiful pink and white flowers. Laura (Lauralsattic) for the cute resin angel.
Thank you so much for stopping by my gallery! I appreciate your visits very much!
