I'm still working on our 2014 Seattle vacation album, but I'm not working on it very hard or very fast this month. It's been a little hairy around the edges here, what with DH breaking his lower left leg in three places (one break on the big bone, two on the smaller one). He's been in a lot of pain, and he's been a little needy as a result.

But you know, that's what marriage is - better or worse - and while this hasn't been "worse" by a long shot, it's still been pretty bad. I can't take away the pain or the misery, but I can say, "poor sweetie," and play hop and fetch until he's back on both legs again. Takes away from long term scrappy time, so I've been focusing on smaller projects which are easier to complete than big ones. Hence, all the tag projects in my gallery the past two weeks.

Away - this picture. There's definitely a story. Shortly before we left for Seattle, Tom got a new I-phone. And shortly after he got his new I-phone, he discovered "Words With Friends." And that was the beginning of "Life As I Know It Now."

Everywhere we went, EVERYwhere, any time we weren't walking or moving, ANYtime we took some down time, out came the I-phone and that was the end of any conversation or communication with the woman he took on vacation with him.

I commented about it several times, and after a while I just gave up. Eventually, it got to be a funny joke about how obsessed he was, and I started taking pictures. I plan to put them all on a single page.

But I really love this photo, which was early on in the vacation. It's taken on the deck at Friday's Crab House, where we ate dinner after our Orca Watching tour. I don't remember what we ate - but I know it was GOOD.

I entered the "Scraplift the Person Before You" challenge way early this month, and I was really excited to get to lift from Laura's gallery. There are lots of beautiful projects in there, and it was really hard to pick one, but eventually I managed to narrow it down to this one.

I'm not really crazy about how the distressed bronze stain looks, but done is always better than perfect, and I'm happy with the rest of the project, so into the album it goes!
