I think he looks so much like you in the photo the right! Awesome that you found Bulldog paper and that you included his hand written name tag on the layout!
What a fun and exciting time for him. Congrats on getting him off to a great start. I love all the embellishments you were able to use and the way they add to the fun feeling of this layout. Great Primary colors and I love the Bulldog. That was genius.
This is super cute Sonja!-such cute and fun embellies! I find it hard to believe since I "met" you right here pregnant with him!!!...my own son is 33--how?????????????!!!!
How is this boy already a kindergartener?!? He's been in school about two weeks now and I'm STILL not ready! LOL! Super proud of him though, he's taking to it pretty well and already learning quite a bit! (Last night's lesson was the ever-popular chant: "You've got a giiiirrrlll friend! You've got a giiiirrrrll friend!" Seriously?! Some things never change...) HA!
Anyway, his elementary school mascot happens to be the Bulldogs (and he knows the school cheer! BULL-Dogs! WOOF WOOF!) That happens to be the same mascot as Burbank High School. When I stopped by a LSS in Burbank earlier this spring, I noticed they had specially made papers for the local high schools. I grabbed this one since it didn't say 'Burbank' on it and that cute little bulldog die cut and then tucked them into my 'school papers' stash for later.
CUE LATER! Here are his first day of school photos. We went shopping in Seattle with Nana (THREE hours later) and he picked out a Star Wars: Force Awakens backpack and lunchbox, R2D2 t-shirt and Darth Vader light-up shoes for his first day outfit. I am SOOOO proud! And yes, that is his handwriting on the "Hello" card!
This is for the August Round Robin challenge, Week 4 - it's good to be the last one! I can post as soon as I'm done - AND I have three fabulous LOs to lift! They are: "I Love you" by SusanneG here:
This is also for National Book Lover's Day (8/9) - because my son's a book lover and he'll be learning to read!! Also for my Hoarders challenge.
A lot of the embellies I used were from this cute school-themed sticker pack and tube of washi tape, both from Recollections, but the scissors/pencil/apple border is a Jolee's border. Both papers are Making Memories. TFL!
