This is beautiful Susan - I love the colors of your pictures and the way they are complimented with your background paper. I didn't know the snake was an ancient symbol for time. How interesting!
So the actually sundial is PINK? That's amazing. It's beautiful. And your project, echoing all the pink, is really perfect. The flowers soften the hard lines of the tower and make the page more balanced. I like that you echoed the flower corners on the right with photos in the corners on the left.
I love sundials and would love to see this one. Your photos are beautiful and I love the perspective in them. Your background paper couldn't be better for this layout.
Used old stash - HOTP pps, Prima chipboard, stickles, flowers. The vellum is the darker pink - small hearts and a layer for title. Journaling: The sundial on the south side of the Tower was set in place on October 26, 1928. The gnomon, which indicates time by casting a shadow on the dial face, is made with a bronze rod supported by a bronze snake – the ancient symbol of time. The hours are marked by the 12 signs of the zodiac. A correction table for different periods of the year is located at the base of the sundial.
