When I was a teenager, I didn't have a case of puppy love for the football captain, nor was I crazy over the latest rock star. Instead, I was in love with long-dead French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. I know, I know - sounds weird but it went along with my infatuation with all things French. Anyway, when we were in Corsica this summer, it was a real thrill for me to tour his family home and birthplace. (Not that I'm still goofy for Napoleon, but I do have fond memories of my days when he was my heart throb.)
