Hi! Again, thanks for letting us use your layout. The blog post is now live and you can check it out here: https://scrapbookcampus.com/2019/12/theme-santa/ :)
My mom and dad had a tree just like the one you had! It wasn't quite as tall, but you had to put each branch into a color-coded hole in the pole! It always took us hours to put together, but we have very fond memories of doing it!!!!! Your layout is absolutely fantastic - beautifully designed!
Love your paper choice, embellishments, and design. Your layouts are always so creative and this one is no exception. Love the story behind the photo, too!
This is so fantastic and of course, creative as always!! Love how you did the title, the different papers, photos and stickers!!!!!! We still have a tree like you did and I spent quite a bit fluffing it again this year (lol)!!!!!!!
Our big tree is one of those old school trees (25+ yrs old) that has to have each branch "fluffed" and then inserted into the pole. It is 7ft tall and about 7ft across at the bottom. So it is quite a job putting it up. In 2002, our oldest son Joshua and his friend Joseph (who was living with us at the time) volunteered to help. Journaling reads: "I'm not sure Joshua and Joseph realized what they were getting into when they volunteered to put the tree together. LOL! But, they did get it done and their help was much appreciated :D" The tree border was done with a mix of die cuts and stickers. The racoon, log and owl are dimensional stickers. The title is hand-lettered with a Signo pen. TFL!
*This year I bought a new 7ft tree, only much smaller around and it comes in three sections and the branches are hinged and fall into place - had it together in 10 minutes :) But, I'm hanging on to my big tree - it is still beautiful, just takes a lot longer to put up and decorate... we'll see which one we like best after this year. LOL!
