Oh my what a lovely layout! I really love the special embossing and layering of that beautiful fame! Sam looks darling in his photo and your layout captures the woodsy feel of nature. Great job!
Oh my goodness, Elizabeth!!!! This is above and beyond stunning!!!! What a sweet picture, and the way you created such a woodsy layout to compliment it is unbelievable!!!!! So much thought and detail within every square inch of this masterpiece!!!
Absolutely love this! There are so many creative details and I love the way you did your journaling. It looks like you are looking through a forest at your sweet boy. Precious!
Stunning work and I feel your pain, have been missing in action for a while. You really outdid yourself with this layout. It has such an outdoor feel and the layering is fabulous but still frames the cute photo.. I love that we sometimes forget where the photos were taken lol
stunning page! love all the layering and I love how the arranging of the chippies and the photo come together to add such great dimension to the page. love it!
Sharing my first layout of the year and the first one since October! I was having severe withdrawal symptoms! :-)
This is my sweet Sam, when he was 4 years old. My husband took this picture when we were visiting Yosemite or Sequoia National Park. I can't remember for sure which place it was. The last layout I did was of both boys at the same place.
The background papers are some I've had in my stash for a good 10 years and were given to me by my best friend, Susie. They are double-sided and were from Costco, of all places! I lightly misted them, wrinkled them up, flattened them out and then swiped TH Walnut Stain distress ink pad over the wrinkles to look similar to capture the effects of the tree trunk in the picture.
This is the first time I've layered chippies like I did these beautiful vine frames from Creative Embellishments. The bottom frame is rubbed with TH Vintage Photo and heat embossed with Zing Clear embossing powder. The top frame is rubbed with Walnut Stain, heat embossed with copper embossing powder and then rubbed with TH Black Soot over that.
The evergreen sprigs were from Carri and Laura. They were white and I rubbed them with TH Bundled Sage and Iced Spruce and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder again. Thank you ladies for the lovely die cuts!
The pretty feather came from our now closed Craft Warehouse.
I used Stampendous Mica flakes under the lower part of the frames to bring out the splotches on the rock.
