In 2012, I went to Italy with my sister for 10 days. It was the trip of a life time. I'm still reliving moments of it.

Unfortunately, our time schedule did not allow for me to stop and ride this one. I thought I'd get another chance, but there never seemed to be a good time to come back to it. I made a promise to myself that I'll do it the NEXT visit.

Florence is a city that is very easy to love. It really was exactly what I imagined Italy would be like. I can't wait to go back someday.

The poem is a Pat original, generated with a little help from one of the poetry generation sites that was part of the AGC Weekly Challenge.
Poem Reads ~

Cobblestone Courtyard
Antique carousel spinning
Round past the drunk, sleeping
On the bench, wine bottle in hand,
Unseeing, unjudging Italian horses
Simply existing to provide
Entertainment for weary tourists
Looking for a place to sit down

This is for a few challenges
#1 ~ The AGC Weekly #4, Cowboy Poetry Week. Specs were
~ An old photo or a photo of something old. The Florence carousel dates to the early 20th century.
~ To lift a vintage layout or choose a sketch and create a vintage style layout. My signature style really leans toward the vintage end of the spectrum, so I felt comfortable using the Monthly Sketch #3 for my photos.
~ A one word title or a title with the word "one" in it. I used the single word "CAROUSEL."
~ Generate a poem for your journaling using one of several site options. I loved the poem that the acrostic site helped me get to. (The other option was to use lyrics from a country song.)
~ Use a synonym for the word old. I chose "Antique."

I'm also turning this into the Travel Challenge - Letter F
AND the Monthly Sketch Challenge for Sketch #3.
