This is the second of 3 LO's about the Groundhog Day blizzard in February 2011. The journaling for all 3 LO's is on the first page (The Storm), which has photos taken during the blizzard. It talks about our experience and also gives facts about the storm's overall impact in Chicago and Illinois. This page's photos were taken after it was over. The 3rd LO (Snow) covers the following day.

I would have liked to print more of these photos in a larger size, but I didn't want to devote any more pages in my album to them so I used mostly 2x3's. It is easier to make out details in them IRL than it is here in the picture of the LO, so it worked out okay. The 3 larger photos show the stages of my driveway: before I started clearing it (you can see my neighbor across the street only from the waist up because it's so deep, and my mailbox barely peeks above the snow), when I was partway finished and my snowblower broke (the snow is higher than the machine), and a view from inside the house of the neighbor boys I paid to finish it (take a look at the path they carved to get into the driveway from the street). I printed the date and times on vellum to caption the photos. The rest of the photos show the snow around my house and yard. To give perspective, my backyard fence is 5 1/2 feet tall, and there are 2 steps from my front porch down to the sidewalk - it looks like the snow is level with the front door.

I edged all the photos with black Sharpie. I cut the title with my Cricut (1").
