I might sound like an over grown baby, but truthfully I have never experienced this long recovery of a surgery. I had my left knee replaced on Dec. 2nd, and a 3 day hospital stay became 7 due to complications. When I came home the hard work began. Now I am into 6 weeks, I still have some pain, stiffness and a knee that just doesn't want to heal better. The doctor told me that I am doing quite well and PT is ahead of schedule. So why do I still get frustrated and ice it, take pain pills, swelling etc. And what the heck is a hemotoma any way??
I have had several broken bones before, surgeries etc. but none like this. And just think I need the right knee replaced as well----really? I will have to think long and hard about the next one
