Dogpatch USA

A layout of a vacation trip with Lara to Arkansas in 1978. I used a Photo Play collection Boys Rule. They simply worked better with my photos than anything else I had! :) I added the small skating photos because that was a highlight of the trip for me to see her adapt to ice skating so easily but the photo quality was too poor to make a layout. The title was done on the Cameo 3, cut 3 times, and layered for dimension.

Journaling: In the summer of 1978, we went to Dogpatch, USA near Harrison, AR. It was a theme park based on the Lil Abner comic strip with rides, a petting zoo, and an ice skating rink. Her first time on ice skates at 7 years old and Lara was like a pro!
