I feel I need to try your design, I love the beautiful "hidden" layers. I always love that in cards, when you think you seen it all, then you lift a flap and there is more gorgeousness underneath. Works so well here, your chosen background paper looks sumptuous.
Beautiful! All your paper and colour choices work well together, you achieved an elegant look with a wonderful festive glow. You have a great eye for design and composition and these wonderful layers make the card look very special.
Edit to add: Woot! I made a PDF for this card! It's free to download here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lQIES911anL9PQMFW9LeScgi7TGBN9pW/view?usp=sharing
There's now a video, too! Jan Mansor Brown was kind enough to create a video for me (I do not have the capability to do videos). See Jan's video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOQtOHbp5XY
I made another version of my Sketchy Fun Fold, and made a Christmas card. I've made four different versions of this fun fold now, all different in some way while maintaining the layout of the sketch I'd been challenged with in January (mojo monday #423). I have ideas for a couple more, too! I can't help it, it's my creation, so to speak, and I keep wanting to make more.
I originally had planned on a red and gold color scheme, but found my DSP lacking and I really didn't want to try to make my own DSP for small pieces. So, I thought maybe gold and white, and found that beautiful Stampin' Up! Simply Elegant Specialty DSP had the perfect gold and white filigree paper for the main mats (I didn't have an appropriate embossing folder for the holidays). I was going to use white for the card base, then I decided to go different, and thought Stampin' Up's Cinnamon Cider would be interesting! I thought it worked well.
I went digging through my stash of paper because I thought I might have some glimmer paper that might work for the smaller mats, but I came across a 2019 6x6 paper pad by Paper Studios (Hobby Lobby brand) that had gold and white foiled patterns - and, the non-foiled "gold" in the designs actually were a perfect match for the Cinnamon Cider! So, yeah, "no brainer," and I went with it.
For the front embellishment, I went with gold embossed poinsettias from the Stampin' Up! Poinsettia Petals stamp set, along with a lot of their Champagne Rhinestones. I used the matching Cinnamon Cider ink for all the sentiments (the sentiment stamp sets are all retired Stampin' Up!).
