love that little clock stamp, and the buttons on the journaling, photo anchours also work really well with this. i dont have any more suggestions that haven't bee said, but i do agree with the spacing issue on the bottom
I really like how you have done the journaling with the buttons and the colours. It does seem to be 'airy'. I definatly agree with matting the journaling. I would also move the picture more in the center and overlap the circle a bit on the photo. I also think some inking on the edges would be brilliant. I love where you are going with this, Great job :)
Hi Tiffany! Sorry I'm late. I really love your colors and your choice of PP. I am a big fan of "strip journaling" so I of course love that you used this and I like how you've anchored your strips with buttons. However, I think that the strips should be longer. Maybe think of some more to say? This would solve your space problem between where the strips end and where the oval begins. I also like to ink these strips and mat them if possible for a more "finished" look. As for the key, I would take some twine and thread it through the top and "hang" it from your white divider. Make the strip of twine (fibers/whatever) run right through the middle of the white strip horizontally starting at the bookplate and ending behind the left edge of the page. (Hope this makes sense). I would move the keyhole inside your definition circle, below the word "precious". I love your stamping and that picture is great!
Beautiful LO! If i were to make any suggestions I think I would ink edges of a few more things. I'm thinking the corner piece and the cream colored frame around the picture. I agree that the key & keyhole seem to be floating and should be moved, I may have also put the metal thing in the center of the white ribbon. I do love where this is going and LOVE the colors. Great job.
Great first vintage lo! I love the colors and the photo! I like the strip journaling with the buttons and the clock too! I think the key hole gets a little bit lost. The frame and the title are great!
I'm really liking this LO. The colors are lovely and I really like the buttons and strip journaling along the lower left. I think a little edge inking on the triangle on the lower right would make the clock pop a little more. "Memories" in the bookplate needs to be bigger- it's getting lost on the LO and needs to be moved just a little so it's not so "square" on the ribbon divider (which I really like, btw). Other suggestions: layer the flowers over the frame just a little, and keep on overlapping them; watch out for the "floating" key and keyhole. Not sure they make sense where they are.
This is a great LO! I love the buttons on the journaling along with the red journaling. . And the clock on the bottom right . The matting on the journaling is great to, it has a good vintage feel. I also think the font in the bookplate is a little to small. I think you did great on this challenge !
For someone who's never vintaged before, this is an awesome first! I love the colors you chose! I also love the buttons that are holding the strip journaling and I love the key.
I like the bookplate but think what's written in it is to small: the proportions are wrong. So I would change what's inside of it. I also like the clock but I would only put the circle there instead of the big triangle. I love your title and the stamped stuff. Great layout!
These two beautiful people are my great-grand parents on my mother's side. Their names are Roy Cabaskin and Addie Mae McBroom. This picture was taken in Monroe, Louisiana on the front porch of their first home.
