I made this altered embroidery hoop and a round wooden pin cushion box for my sister for her birthday this month. This was my first try at both, the hoop and making a pin cushion. My sister is the sewer in the family so I wanted to make her something to go in her sewing room. She loves neutral colors so I stuck with those...thanks so much for taking a peek :}

I added modeling paste to the tulle using a stencil, also added some wax on the paste after drying. I used wooden sewing embellishments, I added wax to those as well. I added RB micro beads to some of the flowers. The inside of the wooden bowl is lined with rice paper from Stamperia using matte gel.

Flowers from Prima and Reneabouquets, RB micro beads, wooden embellishments from Etsy. Hoop, tulle, twine, straws and ribbon from my stash.
