I started this card by stamping the candy cane image from Tim Holtz Jolly Holiday stamp set in Lumberjack Plaid onto a piece of cardstock, I repeated the image to cover the paper. I then die cut out the Joy from Tim Holtz Big Tidings die set from that. I die cut it out 4 more times from scrap cardstock and then glued them all together to add dimension. I cut the shadow layer for the Joy and attached that. Next I die cut out 2 of the pine branches and 2 of the holly branches from the Tim Holtz Festive Gatherings set I used Distress ink and Distress mica crayons to color those. After they dried I assembled them. For the background I put some ink onto one of the plastic packages the stamps came in and sprayed it with a little water then took a piece of watercolor cardstock and pressed it into it, dried it and repeated. NextvI inked the edges to darken using the Lumberjack Plaid and Black Soot Distress inks. I placed my background into my Misti and used the Hope, Peace, Love, and + from Tim's new stamp set Festive Print and stamped that in Black Soot Archival. I attached the background to my cardbase then arranged my greenery and the Joy and glued them on. To finish the card I added glue around on the greenery and sprinkled that with Distress Rock candy glitter.
