I knew I wanted to 1) have a big splash for the background and 2) use my watercolor and/or inks. It was kismet that the exact YouTube video I needed appeared on my stream! Its so stinking simple - pour a small puddle of watercolor paint on your paper, then slam (okay, maybe strongly tap) with the palm of your hand. Perfect splattery puddle! The otters are fussy-cut clip art.
