To create this card, I first started by making my background. I used Distress oxides and ink and smooshed them, then dried and repeated until I got the desired look. I then used Distress Ink in Black Soot and rubbed that on the inside front of my embossing folder. I placed my background into it and ran it through my machine. I set that aside. Next, I cut out a bunch of the pieces of pipe from the Vault Industrial die set. I used my Scrapbook.com silicone mat to figure out my layout since it has the A2 size card size printed in the center. I snapped a photo of my layout, then flipped the pipe die cuts over, and using my photo as a guide, I laid them back out upside down and used mint tape to hold them together temporarily. Once I got everything in place, I used double-sided tape to permanently attach the pieces. I flipped it over and lightly sanded it. If I did this again, I would sand the paper before die cutting. I added the lille pipe joints and faucet knobs and lightly sanded those. Next, I added the distress crayon and used a brush to work it into all the scratches from sanding. I cut a piece of acetate to A2 size and attached my pipes to that, cutting off any overhang. The bits that I cut off, I used to add to the sides for extra pipes. Now, I needed to attach my acetate to my background, so I used double-sided foam tape and ran it along the back of the acetate on the pipes. I grabbed my Misti, put my background in the corner, and used that to help me attach the acetate to the top straight. I then attached that to my card base. The last thing I did was grab a sentiment from the Small Talk snarky sticker book and add that. I did go back and add some highlights to my water droplets with a white gel pen.
Thanks for spreading positivity!
