I've been trying to use my scraps and leftovers from other projects. (I just hate throwing away perfectly good paper or die cuts.) This butterfly was one of the scraps. The original complete die cut included a bar with "HUGS" cut out below. It was one of those dies that came with 2-3 words you could use interchangeably. Unfortunately, I put the die in wrong, and the word came out backwards. It was so pretty I hung onto it. Today was the day I used it!

I cut the bottom part off the butterfly and trimmed the edges so that they were the same width. I matted it to gold mirror card. I have a spellbinders border set that I used. I cut the border top and bottom, then matted my butterfly with it. I used black card to mat the gold and hand cut around the pattern.
The sentiment tag was created when I cut the ends off the butterfly mat.
6.5 x 5-inch white cardstock, matted with black card and CC Patterned paper. This paper is watercolor-like with gold- foiled streaks running through it.
I added my focal, I attached the sentiment with mounting tape, and added a bow. I added pearls.
