"Life affords no greater responsibility, no greater privelege, then raising the next generation"

My entry for the Ready Scrap Go! contest - hosted by TriciaScraps--- we are required to use 80% of the "kit" that each of us (10) contributed to. I also did this for Emiie's 8x10 photo challenge (my pic is 5x9) 1.patterned paper striped & with circles (both used) 2. cardstock; brown & green (both used) 3. blank tags; four (3 used) 4. brads - used 5. ribbon - used 6. ribbon - used 7. wild card (I used the tiny brown ribbon piece, primas, brown square, brads ) 8. metal, heart clip, curlie clips and (I used staples. although they are hidden by the ribbon) 9. 3d soft - I used the brown fiber and slide mount 10. alphabet ----- matted the brown letters given with the green bling cs provided, my "f" was reversed on the bling so I left it that way.

What I did:

I mounted my main pic on the green bling cs, ran the green ric rac across the pic. Cut a long piece of the brown bling cs, cut a square piece of the pp (circle) and mounted that on top of the brown. I layed the brown down with that piece, added brads and mounted it just on one side at the top and then mounted my main pic on top of that. Cut a green strip of cs, added brads and mounted that under the brown. I then made pockets at the top and right side of that structure by not adhearing it on that side for 2 tags to slip into the top and right side and then printed my verse on the green bling, added brads, I tucked that piece under the sq pieced circle pp. I cut out a circle for the pp and tucked it under the green retangle with the verse and then adheared it on the top right side to keep my pockets usable but to anchor the top. I covered my slide mount with the striped pp and added ric rac, fiber and flower with brad. I stamped a square of green cs and punched a brown heart and mounted that behind the slide mount, adheared it. Stamped the word generation (which is the last word for the verse above) mounted my brown letters on the green cs, added a little piece of ribbon on the "L" and mounted the word "Life" which is the first word for the verse. Punched a little heart of a square of green cs, mounted it. monted the little brown sq. onto a piece of green cs, drew stitches around that. Added ribbon inbetween the sq. & cs. adheared together. Heat embossed the cicle & heart on the brown piece.

All the tags are decorated too. You can see a part of all of them, but when you take them out you can actually see more of the tag I decorated. The tag at the top I staped the brown ribbon on top, placed the ric rac across the staples, punched a large heart and a few smaller hearts out of the cs and added them. I have a 2x3 pic of the same pic that you see on the other tag (but this one a little larger) and dated that pic and will will journal about raising my children. On the back I added the yellow ribbon and then ran the ric rac across the top of that. I inked the edges of that tag with a key lime green dew drop chalk. The 2nd tag to the right of the slide mount I chalked the edges with a cats eye chalk cocoa and added at the botton the tiny brown ribbon you see on the letter L, at the top I used the yellow pok-a-dot ribbon, stapled it on, ran the solid yellow ribbon across that , added the ric rac and the the flower, added fiber and heart clip. On this tag I will list the morals and values I hope my children will obtain being raised. the 3d tag is a cicle one and is tucked between the main photo and cs. staped the cream ribbon on added fiber, flowers w/ brad and curlie metal clip and inked the front side with cocoa cats eye chalk. On the back side of that tag I used the circle pp, in which I cut a large circle that fit the tag and then used 3 circle stamps, outer circle says "The greatest love" twice, the middle circle says "yesterday, today, tomorrow, forever" and the middle one is a little leaf in a circle. On this tag I will journal about how one day they too will be raising the next generation.

Thanks for looking.
